About this role

As a developer at Expercast, you will join an exceptionally smart team of frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers. Working together with Product, Design, and QA, you will build a suite of products that is designed, ultimately, to provide broad access to high-quality education across the world.

On the frontend, we work with the following technology stack: JavaScript, React, ReactNative, Next.js, and Redux. On the backend, we work with Ruby, Rails, Go, JavaScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and k8s.

If you don’t have much experience yet, your career with us will start with an intensive “bootcamp” under the guidance of our senior developers. Our bootcamp includes theoretical and practical components, and it is designed to get you up to speed quickly. In parallel to the bootcamp, you will already start working on our products. You will also receive ample coaching, and your more experienced team members will be delighted to answer any questions you may have along the way. As a result, you will quickly grow into an increasingly mature developer.

As an experienced developer, you will appreciate our clean code base and our exceptionally high technical standards. You will have the opportunity to solve complex technical problems, write beautiful and highly performant code, make critical architectural decisions, and deepen your technical and managerial knowledge, all the while working directly on the development of new features.

What we are looking for

Our philosophy here at Expercast is to hire for exceptional intrinsics, and trust that, thanks to our collaborative and learning-oriented culture, you will be able to quickly fill any potential gaps in your technical expertise on the job. That being said, we do expect you to exhibit exceptional technical talent and, to the extent of your prior experience, impeccable mastery of the technologies you have worked with.

As for language requirements, we expect upper-intermediate English skills. In fact, our assessment process will be conducted entirely in English. Don’t worry, however, if your English isn’t perfect yet: We will help you improve it on the job.
